The health and safety of all participants of the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2021 remains the number one priority for the International Skating Union (ISU).

As part of the rigorous testing procedures, so far approximately 2000 PCR tests and 1000 antigen tests have been performed. Amongst these numerous tests, an additional positive case was identified. The ISU and Organizing Committee will respect the privacy of the respective person and inform the remaining Event Participants internally of the situation.

As per the previous cases, the protocols as set out in the ISU Health Regulations for Event participants are being followed.

The close contacts cases were quickly identified, investigated and tested. The ISU can confirm that the PCR tests of the close contact cases were all negative and the positive case is in quarantine as per the ISU Health Regulations and the Swedish authorities rules.

The Health Regulations for Event Participants of the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2021 were prepared in cooperation with the ISU Medical Commission, the OC Medical Team and the competent Swedish health authorities. Strict and comprehensive protocols and measures of distancing, hand washing, masks, daily health and temperature checks are implemented along with a rigorous testing regime. Everyone within the Competition Bubble must undergo multiple PCR tests.
