2022 - present

Since 2005, Susanna Rahkamo has been leading various sports organizations: ten years as the President of the Finnish Figure Skating Association (2005-2014), and from 2012 as the First Vice President of the Finnish Olympic Committee (member of the board since 2008). Between 2014-2021, she chaired the Olympic Culture and Legacy Commission of the European Olympic Committees. She has been in various strategy groups in Finnish sports.

Susanna Rahkamo was appointed to chair and coordinate the ISU Development Commission between 2016-2022. During that time, the Commission and its collaborators established the ISU eLearning platform, eleven Centers of Excellences, Visiting Coaches Initiatives, the Skaters to Coaches or Administrators Initiative, and helped ISU Members to organize their development programs. 

Susanna had a long competitive career in skating. She, with her partner Petri Kokko, was European Champion and World Silver medalist in Ice Dance (1995) and competed in two Olympics, finishing 4th and 6th. From 1995 to 2000, she skated as a professional Skater performing, for example, in Stars on Ice, Art on Ice, ProAm competitions, and she organized numerous tours and TV shows. She is nine-time National Champion in Ice Dance.

After a long career in skating, Susanna has worked for 20 years as a leadership consultant. She is a co-founder of creative analytics company, Yellow Method, with a science-based methodology to enhance a company’s performance.

Susanna has a PhD in Industrial Engineering in the department of leadership and work psychology and a Masters degree in economics.

Susanna lives in Finland. Her husband is a director at Google Europe and they have two children.
