Pair Skating
The ISU announces that the Single & Pair Skating Technical Committee, through an initiative supported by the ISU Development Program, is organizing an International Pair Skating Development Camp for Coaches and Pair Skaters in:
Berlin, Germany: March 31 - April 5, 2026
The aim of the Camp is to develop Pair Skating to a high level and to introduce Pair Skating in new areas where it is not yet traditionally pursued. Top, world-class Coaches will moderate the Camp. A world-level ranked Pair team will be in attendance to assist. Daily off-ice classes will include ballet, lifts, relaxation/yoga, movement to music and the study of the Program Components. For a more personal learning effect, the experts will be available for one-to-one contact with participating Coaches.
The 2026 Pair Camp is designed for Novice and lower Junior-aged Pairs with the following requirements:
A Pair is eligible for participation who for:
- Novice Pairs: Has not reached the age of sixteen (16) for girls and eighteen (18) for boys in Pair Skating.
- Junior Pairs: Has not reached the age of twenty-one (21) for Women and of twenty-three (23) for Men in Pair Skating.
- Application deadline: Friday, February 20, 2026
The focus of this camp is to develop new Novice and Junior Pair teams and to increase the skill sets of existing Novice and Junior Pair teams.
Applications for the Camp for Skaters and Coaches should be made by ISU Members via the Good Grants platform.

Ice Dance - Europe
The ISU announces that the ISU Ice Dance Technical Committee, with the support of the ISU Development Program, is organizing International Ice Dance Development Training Camps for Ice Dance Couples (Junior and Novice age category) and their Coaches as outlined below.
The aim of the Camps is the development of Ice Dance Coaches and their Couples to a higher technical level. Top, world-class Coaches will moderate the Camps. An Ice Dance Couple is eligible for participation if the Skaters have reached the age of 13 but not the age of 21 by July 1 preceding the Camp. This corresponds to the ISU Junior age restrictions.
Novice age category ISU Ice Dance Development Camp
Oberstdorf, Germany, May 2-9, 2026
An Intermediate Ice Dance Couple is eligible for participation if the Skaters have not reached the age of 16 by July 1 preceding the Camp.
An Advanced Ice Dance Couple is eligible for participation if the Skaters have reached the age of 10 but not the age of 16 for Women and 18 for Men, by July 1 preceding the Camp.

The ISU Center of Excellence Bergamo, in collaboration with CoE Champéry and CoE Oberstdorf, presents the ISU Pair Up! – International Pair Try-out, Pair Skating Camp & Coaches Seminar.
This camp offers a unique and structured environment where skaters and coaches can work together through a comprehensive program combining partner matching opportunities, technical training, and coach education.

Pair Try-out (15-16 May 2026)
A key component of the camp is the Pair Try-out, where individual skaters interested in pair skating are given the opportunity to skate with potential partners under the supervision of experienced coaches.
These sessions are designed to:
- Facilitate the creation of new pair partnerships
- Assess compatibility between skaters
- Evaluate technical potential
- Provide guidance for future development
Pair Skating Camp (17-20 May 2026)
The second part of the program focuses on training for newly formed and existing teams. Skaters will work on essential pair elements, including:
- Lifts
- Twists
- Throws
- Pair spins
- Side-by-side elements
In addition, the camp includes off-ice preparation and conditioning specifically tailored to the demands of pair skating.
Coaches Education Course
Running in parallel, the Coaches Education Course supports coaches aiming to develop expertise in pair skating. The course includes:
- Practical demonstrations
- Methodology discussions
- Technical guidance on introducing and developing pair skating within national programs
Additional sessions will focus on ISU Rules 2026/2027 and technical updates, providing a clear overview of:
- New regulations
- Judging expectations
- Technical requirements in pair skating
Camp 2: ISU CoE Development Camp for Advanced Novice & Junior Skaters
The ISU Centres of Excellence are proud to present a unique training programme specifically tailored to figure skaters in the Advanced Novice and Junior categories from developing countries.
This intensive joint training camp is designed to support the progression of young athletes by providing a structured and high-quality training environment.

Program Objectives
The camp aims to:
- Promote the development of technical skills
- Support the refinement of skating technique
- Enhance understanding of figure skating rules and judging criteria

Synchronized Skating - Europe
The ISU announces that the ISU Synchronized Skating Technical Committee, with the support of the ISU Development Program is organizing an International Synchronized Skating Development Training Camp for Coaches and Team Participants of Junior age and level in:
Munich, Germany, May 11 – 14, 2026
The aim of the Camp is the development of Synchronized Skating Coaches and the members of their Teams to a higher technical level and the introduction of Synchronized Skating in new areas where it is not yet traditionally pursued.
Top, world-class Coaches will moderate the Camp. Daily off-ice classes will include theory, GOE and IJS requirements, music lectures, physical education/fitness, ballet, jazz/mime/expression, relaxation/yoga, movement to music, theatre and modern dance technique lectures. For a more personal learning effect, the experts will be available for one-to-one contact with participating Coaches.
The ISU Synchronized Skating Development Camp is designed for Junior aged participants of a Team with the following age requirements: A member of a Team is eligible for participation if the Skater has reached the age of 13 but not the age of 19 by July 1 preceding the Camp, which corresponds to the ISU Junior age restriction.
