The ISU Council met on October 1-2, 2021 in Geneva, Switzerland. The full decisions are published in ISU Communication 2431, below is a summary of some of the decisions:

ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships 2022

The ISU was informed by the Chinese Figure Skating Association (CFSA) of the cancellation of the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, that was scheduled to take place from January 17 – 22, 2022 in Tianjin (CHN). The Council subsequently invited ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Members to send applications to host this Championships. No applications were received.

After consultation with the Estonian Skating Union, the Council decided to hold the Championships during the week following the ISU European Figure Skating Championships in the same venue. The Council therefore provisionally realotted the Championships as follows:

ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships to be held in Tallinn, Estonia tentatively on January 18-23, 2022.

The definite allotment will be confirmed as soon as possible once all logistical and financial details have been agreed upon with the Estonian Skating Union.

ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final 2021/22 – Qualification Criteria

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic related travel and entry restrictions, the ISU Council had decided not to apply the usual ISU Junior Grand Prix ranking system as basis for the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final qualification system (please refer to ISU Communication 2418). The Council has now decided on the qualification criteria for the ISU Junior Grand Prix Final 2022 and these are available in ISU Communication 2431.

ISU Junior Grand Prix Season 2022/23

The Council approved the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Calendar for the season 2022/23 as follows:

ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final Season 2022/23 and 2023/24

ISU Members are invited to make applications to host the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final for the season 2022/23 to be held on December 8-11, 2022 and the Council approved the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final for the season 2023/24 to be held in Orléans, France on December 7-10, 2023.
