The ISU announces that the ISU Ice Dance Technical Committee, with the support of the ISU Development Program (Council Projects), is organizing International Ice Dance Development Training Seminars for Ice Dance Couples (Junior and Novice age category) and their Coaches as outlined below.

The aim of the Seminars is the development of Ice Dance Coaches and their Couples to a higher technical level. Top, world-class Coaches will moderate the Seminar. Daily off-ice classes will include ballet, ballroom dance, jazz/mime/expression, relaxation/yoga, movement to music, theatre and modern dance technique lectures. For a more personal learning effect, the experts will be available for a one-to-one contact with participating Coaches.

If it will be impossible to conduct the Seminars on site due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a virtual / online version of the Seminars will be held.

A. JUNIOR age category Seminar Oberstdorf, Germany, April 28 – May 5, 2022

The 2022 Ice Dance Seminar is designed for Junior Ice Dance Couples with the following age requirements:

An Ice Dance Couple is eligible for participation if the Skaters have reached the age of 13 but not the age of 19 for Ladies and have reached the age of 13 but not the age of 21 for Men by July 1 preceding the Seminar. This corresponds to the ISU Junior age restrictions.

Participants should arrange to arrive in the afternoon of April 27 in time for the opening of the Seminar at 19.00 and depart on the morning of May 6, 2022.

B. NOVICE age category Seminar Oberstdorf, Germany, May 7 – 14, 2022

The 2022 Ice Dance Seminar is designed for Intermediate and Advanced Novice Ice Dance Couples with the following age requirements:

An Intermediate Ice Dance Couple is eligible for participation if the Skaters have not reached the age of 15 by July 1 preceding the Seminar.An Advanced Ice Dance Couple is eligible for participation if the Skaters have reached the age of 10 but not the age of 15 for Ladies and 17 for Men, by July 1 preceding the Seminar.

Participants should arrange to arrive in the afternoon of May 6 in time for the opening of the Seminar at 19.00 and depart in the morning of May 15, 2022.
