The International Skating Union (ISU) is delighted to announce the launch of its Global Fan Survey 2026 - the most comprehensive research programme ever undertaken by the federation to better understand its global audience and guide the future development of all four ice-skating disciplines. Conducted in partnership with sports intelligence agency Two Circles, this major initiative runs from today March 20 to April 17 2026, and invites everyone - from dedicated fans of Figure Skating, Speed Skating, Short Track, and Synchronized Skating to those discovering ISU events for the first time - to share their views, experiences, and expectations.

A research initiative aligned with ISU Vision 2030

As a key pillar of ISU Vision 2030, the Global Fan Survey 2026 reflects the ISU’s commitment to shaping the future of ice skating with fans, not just for them. The insights gathered will play a vital role in how the ISU presents, promotes, and evolves its disciplines across events, media, digital platforms, and fan engagement worldwide.

The survey focuses on four core areas:

• Fan interest, engagement, and connection to ice-skating
• Viewing habits and how audiences follow ISU events
• Digital and media consumption trends
• Perceptionsof the sport andopportunities for growth

Responses will be collected across eight key markets and analysed to deliver a representative picture of the global skating audience in 2026

The survey is available in seven languages - English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Mandarin - demonstrating the ISU’s strong commitment to engaging fans through localized content and ensuring they can share their voice in their own language.

How to take part to the survey

Fans who complete the survey and opt in with their email address will be entered into a prize draw to win exclusive signed memorabilia from Olympic stars, including Nathan Chen, Guillaume Cizeron, Laurence Fournier Beaudry, and Xandra Velzeboer.
