SAYES e-Learning Module now available to support Safeguarding education for young skaters

14 Jul 2025

Developed under the EU Erasmus+ co-funded project Safeguarding Young European Skaters (SAYES), the SAYES e-learning module is now available for ISU Members as a valuable tool to support and enhance safeguarding education efforts.

Designed for young skaters aged 12–16, the interactive course raises awareness about boundaries, consent, and appropriate behavior in sport. It can be completed independently at the learner’s own pace or delivered in group sessions led by coaches or safeguarding officers, using the accompanying Facilitator Guide.

We strongly encourage ISU Members to integrate this resource into their ongoing education strategies for both skaters and support personnel.

🟦 Access the course and Facilitator Guide HERE or at ISU’s eRink.

This initiative is the result of a dedicated collaboration involving the ISU, the Fédération Française des Sports de Glace (FFSG), Hungarian National Skating Federation (HUNSKATE), Royal Dutch Skating Federation (KNSB), Colosse aux pieds d’argile, Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, Sport and Citizenship.

Together, let’s continue building a safer environment for all skaters!
