What is it?
In accordance with Section 3.7 a) of ISU Communication No. 2310, the ISU Development Commission invites ISU Members to make applications for Scholarship support for their Junior Skaters.
Scholarships are awarded to Junior Skaters who:
- fall into the Junior age category, as defined in the ISU General Regulations (Rule 108)
- are participating in international competitions and aiming to compete or already competing at ISU World Junior Championships level
- require financial support to achieve their potential
Amounts of usually between USD 500 and 7’200 may be awarded, depending on the discipline.
Applications must be made according to the published ISU Communication, which is usually published in February/March each year.

What is it?
Scholarships of up to USD 10’000 are awarded to Coaches or Sports Administrators.
How can you apply?
For Speed Skating and Short Track, a call for nominations is issued annually on the Development page of the ISU website. The Scholarships are awarded for education and other development of coaching skills.
For Ice Dance and Synchronized Skating suitable candidates are nominated by the Development Commission in collaboration with the respective Technical Committees. The Scholarship takes the form of mentoring and/or support to attend educational seminars.
There are no Coach Scholarships for Singles Skating and Pair Skating.

Timing
The call for nominations for Speed Skating and Short Track is usually sent directly to ISU Members in May each year, with the application deadline in June.

What is it?
This initiative aims to support retired Skaters to remain within the sport by becoming Coaches, sports administrators or taking on other skating sport-related roles. The retired Skaters must have competed at senior ISU Championships during the preceding 4 seasons. Small amounts of support (USD 250-3’000) are granted, mainly for educational activities.
How can you apply?
Applications should be made according to the annually published ISU Communication. Applications may be sent by the applicant’s ISU Member or by the applicant themselves, but in either case, a supporting letter from the ISU Member must be provided.
