To create an account and register for an ISU event, fill in all the required fields and follow the 5-step registration process.

Step 1: Enter or verify personal information and media organization contact details.

Step 2: Please provide information about your media organization's digital presence and reach.

Step 3: Please upload all the necessary documents (check the full list of required data items).Here

Step 4: After reviewing and agreeing to the terms of use, click "Confirm" to complete your profile or save the updates.

Step 5: First, select a field, then choose the specific event you want to cover, and proceed to the event application section. You can apply for multiple events across different fields.

⚠️ If you already have an account, please update all personal information and press credentials at the beginning of each season and ensure they are up to date.

Only complete applications submitted before each deadline will be considered for review. All application deadlines are listed below.

Media accreditation is strictly reserved forProfessional journalists and photographersemployed by or representing recognized media organizations (including agencies, print/online publications, TV/radio broadcasters) covering ISU Events forFor editorial or news purposesUnder specific conditions, content creators and social media reporters may be eligible.

Additionally, ISU Member Federation representatives officially designated for press and communication duties may be eligible for accreditation.

⚠️Any individuals not affiliated with a media organization, including but not limited to the functions listed below, will not be considered for media accreditation:

• Sponsors
• Brands
• Athletes' agents or representatives
• Individuals posting on their personal social media accounts
• Influencers
• Any other person not affiliated to a media organization

When registering/applying for accreditation, all media must provide the following up-to-date documentation. Please make sure to upload all requested press credentials and to update these at the start of each season.

• Endorsement letterFrom the Editor-in-Chief -Mandatory
• Copy of currentProfessional media or journalist card-If available
• Copy of passport + portrait photo -Mandatory
• Examples ofpublished work / portfolios(past articles, photographs, etc.)-Mandatory

If a media accreditation request is not completed by the deadline (for both on-site and remote access) or if any required information is missing, it will be denied.

Also, media applicants must agree to the Terms and Conditions, and if they do not comply, the OC and ISU reserve the right to revoke their accreditation badge.

Non-Right Holders media – print/web journalists, TV/Radio, photographers, content creators and social media reporters – who have not negotiated any special production rights – need to abide and agree to the following rules in the conduct of their editorial work during ISU events.

The International Skating Union (ISU), as the Rights Holder, prohibits the use of any moving images, video, or audio of ISU Events on any television channel, radio station, website, or social media platform, by any Non-Right Holder. Under no circumstances are these rights accessible through an Organizing Committee (OC). 

1. Restricted Areas

Filming in the below-listed areas is strictly forbidden:

• Competitions / Field of play
• Training sessions (at the Practice or Main rinks)
• Warm-up zone
• Changing rooms
• Mixed Zone area
• From public seats at all times (even during ice resurfacing).

The transgression of any of these rules may result in the exclusion from ISU Events, removal of accreditation and legal actions.

2. Authorized Areas

Non-Right Holders media are only allowed to produce video, audio-recorded material for editorial/news purposes in the following areas:

• In the Press Conference room
• Outside the venue

Non-rights-holding media representatives must agree to the above Terms and Conditions and acknowledge that any violation may result in the revocation of their accreditation and exclusion from the Event. Furthermore, the ISU reserves the right to take additional legal action.

Rights holding TV and Radio must also apply for accreditation via the ISU Online Media Accreditation system.

Access to the Right Holders area is restricted. Therefore Right Holders are invited to contact the ISU Media Team media@isu.org in order to obtain a username and password.

If space is limited, the following quota will be enforced:

Writing Press

• Media Organization (newspaper, magazine, web, agencies, ISU Member Federations): 1 journalist
• Major Agency or Newspaper: 2 journalists

Photographer

• Media Organization: 1 photographer
• Major agency or newspaper: 2 photographers

For Figure Skating, Synchronized Skating, and Short Track Speed Skating: One rink-side position and another in an elevated position.

For Speed Skating: 2 rink-side positions (if space permits).

TV Non-Right Holder 

• Media Organization: Maximum of 3 crew members (e.g., one reporter, one camera operator, one editor).

Radio Non-Right Holder

• Media Organization: 1 reporter (maximum)

Freelancer 

• Freelance journalist or photographer: 1 person

Freelancers must provide written evidence that they are assigned to cover the ISU Event on behalf of a media organization.

In case a freelancer is operating under its own account, they may be requested to submit additional written evidence.
