Whether you are a Skater, a Coach, an Official, a parent, or anyone else involved in Skating, it is important for anyone who has experienced or witnessed harassment or abuse to speak up - if you see something, say something.
In case you or the person(s) affected are in immediate danger or risk of harm, please contact your local emergency services.
If the harassment or abuse took place during an ISU Event or any other ISU activity (for example, at an International Competition, a training camp supported by the ISU Development Program, or an educational seminar organized by the ISU), you can report the incident to the Skating Integrity Unit via the Skating Integrity Reporting Platform. Find more information and an FAQ at the How to Make a report section.
If the harassment or abuse took place during a national competition or activity, usually you should report it to the national Safeguarding contact point of your ISU Member Federation, or to the national Safe Sport organization if there is one in your country.
If you don’t know who the national Safeguarding contact point of your ISU Member Federation is, you can write to your ISU Member Federation or you can contact the ISU Athlete Welfare Unit for information (ruth.trevallion@isu.org).
If you have concerns that your report won’t be treated adequately, you can also report it to the Skating Integrity Unit via the Skating Integrity Reporting Platform.
If you are not sure whether or not to report what you experienced or witnessed, you can send an email to skatingintegrityunit@isu.org and the Skating Integrity Unit team can help you consider the options. If you have general questions about Safeguarding, please contact the Athlete Welfare Unit at ruth.trevallion@isu.org.
In case you or the person(s) affected are in immediate danger or risk of harm, please contact your local emergency services.
The Skating Integrity Reporting Platform is a secure platform and you can make an anonymous report if you wish. Reports are handled confidentially to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and ISU Regulations. Please note that we may be obliged to report a potential criminal offence to the police or authorities.
The Online Protection Program is an initiative launched by the ISU that is designed to safeguard Skaters and Officials from online harassment, abuse, and toxic comments across major social media platforms. If you are a Skater or Official competing or officiating at ISU Events, you can sign up to the ISU Online Protection Program.
