Teammates Iuliia Artemeva/Mikhail Nazarychev are currently ranked second while Canada’s Vanessa James/Eric Radford placed third.

2021 World silver medalist Yuma Kagiyama of Japan skated to a strong lead in the Men’s Short Program at the ISU Grand Prix Internationaux de France, winning with 11 points to spare. Latvia’s Deniss Vasiljevs finished second, edging Jason Brown (USA) by less than half a point.

The ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series 2021/22 continues this week with the Internationaux de France in Grenoble. Several top stars are back in action in France and aiming to qualify for the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final. Among the skaters taking to the ice are ISU World Champion Anna Shcherbakova (RUS), four-time ISU World Ice Dance Champions Gabriella Papadakis/Guillaume Cizeron (FRA) and 2021 ISU World silver medalist Yuma Kagiyama (JPN). The Internationaux de France is the fifth of six events in the series, before December’s Final in Osaka, Japan.

Two-time World medalists Madison Chock/Evan Bates (USA) earned the silver medal and Great Britain’s Lilah Fear/Lewis Gibson claimed the bronze.

The silver went to teammates Evgenia Tarasova/Vladimir Morozov, while Japan’s Riku Miura/Ryuichi Kihara collected the bronze medal.
