For Keegan Messing, one of his happiest days and one of his saddest days in his life were just a few weeks apart. On August 3, the Canadian skater married his long-time girlfriend Lane Hodson in his home in Alaska. On September 22, he lost his beloved younger brother Paxon. Paxon, 26, died in a motorcycle accident in Alaska. He left a wife and three young children behind.

You can say that high-level Figure Skating came to Korea with Yuna Kim, who took the scene by storm when she emerged out of nowhere on the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating series back in 2004. The 2010 Olympic Champion was the trailblazer for the sport in the country and has inspired many young Korean Figure Skaters to follow in her impressive footsteps. The International Skating Union (ISU), Skate Canada and Art on Ice are pleased to announce that Elvis Stojko and Anouk Meunier will be hosting the inaugural ISU Skating Awards. The ISU Skating Awards will take place at the conclusion of the ISU World Figure Skating Championships® 2020 in Montreal, Quebec, at Centre Bell on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at 16:00.

Two-time Olympic Champion Yuzuru Hanyu of Japan finally completed his impressive collection of titles when he skated off with gold at the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships in Seoul (KOR) on Sunday. Jason Brown (USA) claimed the silver medal and youngster Yuma Kagiyama of Japan grabbed the bronze in his ISU Championship debut.

China’s Wenjing Sui/Cong Han skated to their sixth Four Continents title as the Pairs event wrapped up at the ISU Four Continents Championships in Seoul (KOR) on Saturday. Cheng Peng/Yang Jin made it one-two for China by taking the silver medal. Kirsten Moore-Towers/Michael Marinaro of Canada dropped from first to third to earn the bronze medal.

Rika Kihira of Japan prevailed in what was a tough competition in the Ladies’ Free Skating at the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships in Seoul (KOR) on Saturday to defend her title.

Two-time Olympic Champion Yuzuru Hanyu of Japan soared to a confident lead in the Men’s Short Program at the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships in Seoul (KOR) on Friday, setting a record score en route. China’s Boyang Jin came second followed by Jason Brown (USA) in what was a high-level competition.

Madison Chock/Evan Bates (USA) defended their ISU Four Continents Championships title as the event continued Friday in Seoul (KOR). Canada’s Piper Gilles/Paul Poirier moved up one spot to take the silver medal while overnight leaders Madison Hubbell/Zachary Donohue (USA) settled for the bronze. 

Reigning Four Continents Champion Rika Kihira of Japan put herself in a good position by winning the Ladies' Short Program at the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships in Seoul (KOR) on Thursday. 

There are five days left for the public, media and ISU Member Federations to cast their votes for their favorite candidates on the ISU Skating Awards online voting platform.

Kirsten Moore-Towers/Michael Marinaro of Canada surprisingly captured the lead in the Pairs Short Program.

Madison Hubbell/Zachary Donohue (USA) edged teammates Madison Chock/Evan Bates by just 0.19 points as the ISU Four Continents Championships opened Thursday in Seoul (KOR) with the Rhythm Dance. Canada’s Piper Gilles/Paul Poirier are not far behind in third place.
