Team USA claimed its fourth World Team Trophy title 13 points clear of the rest of the field as competition wrapped up at the ISU World Team Trophy in Fukuoka, Japan, on Saturday, with Team Japan edging out Russia for the silver medal. The USA, victors in 2009, 2013 and 2015, collected 117 points while Japan had 104 points and Russia 102.

Team USA strengthened its lead over Japan and Russia as the ISU World Team Trophy continued Friday in Fukuoka, Japan. Team USA now has 91 points heading into the final day of competition, while Japan has 79 points and Russia remain in third place on 70 points.

Team USA took the lead over Japan and Russia after the ISU World Team Trophy opened Thursday in Fukuoka (JPN). Team USA collected 50 points on Day One while Japan has 48 points and Russia picked up 38 points.

The Qualification Systems for all three ISU disciplines (Figure Skating, Speed Skating and Short Track Speed Skating) have been approved by the IOC Executive Board.

Brian Joubert dominated the scene for a decade, collecting ten consecutive medals at the ISU European Figure Skating Championships 2002 to 2011 as well as a World title and World medals. 2011 European Champion and two-time European medalist Florent Amodio is another popular French skater.
