Ice Dance Technical Committees prepared some Questions and Answers to clarify some aspects of the technical requirements published in ISU Communications 1857 and 1860, useful for couples and coaches to prepare Short Dance and Free Dance for the 2014/15 season...

According to Section VII. Procedural Provisions to the Constitution Part A. Congress - Organization, Article 29, paragraph 5, if a proposal for the Constitution, its Procedural Provisions or for the General Regulations and Special Regulations is submitted later than December 1, it can be discussed and voted upon at Congress, provided the proposal has reached the ISU Secretariat in English for distribution to all Members, not later than three weeks before the Congress and shall be certified as urgent business by a four-fifths majority of Members present and voting.

The final ISU World Development Trophy Event took place in Manila (PHI) on April 21-16, 2014. 51 athletes and 13 coaches from a total of 10 ISU Members participated in this ISU Development series in the SM Mega Mall.

The ISU World Development Trophy continued in Gdansk (POL) from April 1-6. This time the event concentrated on Single and Pair Skating and Ice Dance. 64 young skaters and 30 coaches from 19 ISU European Members attended the event.

The second ISU World Development Trophy event of the season was a Short Track Speed Skating event and was held in Dongguan City, Hong Kong China on 16-21 March.

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the International Skating Union (ISU) have reached an agreement on exclusive media rights from 2015 – 2019, marking 50 years of EBU-ISU partnership.

More than 25 youth skaters from six countries took part in the first Speed Skating ISU World Development Trophy in Zakopane, Poland.
