On June 6-8th 2023, the ISU held its annual Center of Excellence (CoE) meeting at the IWIS International Training Center (ISU Center of Excellence) in Bangkok (THA), reuniting for the very first time both the Figure and Speed Skating branches. This combined gathering aimed at discussing the role of ISU’s Centers of Excellence to develop the sports internationally with a focus to plan a long-term integrated and sustainable approach.

The objective is to share knowledge, experience and expertise to the entire ice-skating community within the first-class facilities of Thialf-Heerenveen.

As part of its “Clean Sport” program for doping prevention, the ISU has once again this season deployed the “Pure as Ice” campaign in a variety of international events across all ice skating disciplines. The ISU #PureasIce initiative aims at reuniting skaters together with their entourage in a safe and fun hub where they can learn and exchange about Anti-Doping rules and behaviors.
