World champion Brittany Bowe (USA) confidently beat Olympic champion Jorien ter Mors (NED) in the Ladies' 1000m on the third day of the ISU World Cup Speed Skating in Minsk on Sunday. In the Mass Start Ivanie Blondin (CAN) defeated arch rival Irene Schouten (NED) with a powerful sprint on the final straight.

Jun-Ho Kim (KOR) won his first ever World Cup gold on the third day of the ISU World Cup speed skating in Minsk on Sunday. The 24-year-old sprinter surprised a competitive field in the men's 500m, when he stopped the clock at 34.87 to take home the first World Cup gold in the event for Rep. Korea since Tae-bum Mo in December 2013. Kjeld Nuis (NED) made amends for Saturday's disappointing 1000m by seizing gold in the 1500m.

Pair skating shooting stars Aleksandra Boikova/Dmitrii Kozlovskii of Russia skated to their second Grand Prix gold medal with another brilliant performance in front of their home fans at Rostelecom Cup in Moscow on Saturday. Teammates Evgenia Tarasova/Vladimir Morozov claimed the silver medal. Germany’s Minerva Fabienne Hase/Nolan Seegert earned the bronze, their first Grand Prix medal.

Russia’s “quad queen” Alexandra Trusova took back her throne and with it her second Grand Prix gold medal at Rostelecom Cup on Saturday. Olympic silver medalist Evgenia Medvedeva earned the silver and Mariah Bell (USA) took the bronze, her second on the circuit this season.

Thomas Krol (NED) led an orange armada in the men's 1000m as he seized gold in a track record and his countrymen took three of the next four places on the second day of the ISU World Cup Speed Skating in Minsk, Belarus. Jorrit Bergsma (NED) added to the Netherlands' medal haul by winning the mass start with a powerful jump, holding off the bunch in the last three laps and maintaining the Dutch men’s dominance in the first event of the 2019/20 series.

World silver medalists Victoria Sinitsina/Nikita Katsalapov of Russia collected the second Grand Prix gold of their careers at the ISU Grand Prix Rostelecom Cup in Moscow on Saturday. Canadians Piper Gilles/Paul Poirier claimed the silver medal as both ice dance teams qualified for the Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final. The bronze went to Sara Hurtado/Kirill Khaliavin of Spain.

Olga Fatkulina (RUS) broke Nao Kodaira's (JPN) 23-race winning streak in the World Cup 500m on a thrilling Day 2 in Minsk, Belarus, on Saturday. Daria Kachanova (RUS) came second and Kodaira took bronze after world champion Vanessa Herzog (AUT) was disqualified for a second false start. In other ladies’ action at the opening event of the 2019/20 ISU World Cup season, Ireen Wüst (NED) won the 1500m to take her 24th World Cup gold in the event.

Alexander Samarin became the first Russian man in a decade to win his home Grand Prix event as he led his countrymen to a rare podium sweep at Rostelecom Cup in Moscow on Saturday. Dmitri Aliev and debutant Makar Ignatov claimed the silver and bronze medal.

Youngsters Aleksandra Boikova/Dmitrii Kozlovskii led the charge ahead of reigning World silver medalists Evgenia Tarasova/Vladimir Morozov and the new team of Ksenia Stolbova/Andrei Novoselov.

Mariah Bell (USA) placed third in the first segment of the competition.

Patrick Roest (NED) started the ISU World Cup speed skating season with a track record to win the 5000m in Minsk on Friday. The World Allround Champion beat Jorrit Bergsma (NED) and Denis Yuskov (RUS) to top the podum. The Dutch also ruled in the Team Sprint, taking gold ahead of China and Canada.

Canada’s long distance ladies kicked off the ISU World Cup speed skating season in fine style on Friday. Isabelle Weidemann (CAN) won the 3000m in Minsk, Belarus, with teammate Ivanie Blondin (CAN) taking the bronze. The Netherlands won the ladies’ Team Sprint.
