The ISU World Cup Short Track Series continues this weekend in Dresden, Germany. Don’t miss any of the action from the fourth leg of this thrilling event.

The first edition of the ISU Four Continents Speed Skating Championships and ISU Four Continents Short Track Speed Skating Championships have been allotted by the ISU Council.

He's a triple Speed Skating World Champion, a double European Champion and a multiple World Cup winner, but the first time Denis Yuskov put on skates as a kid, he abominated the sport. This season the 1500m World Record holder has set his sights on the World Single Distances Speed Skating Championships in Inzell.

The ISU noted the reports of abuse and harassment by at least one Korean Coach on Korean Short Track Skaters. The ISU condemns any kind of abuse and harassment on ISU participants and encourages the Korean authorities in their continuation of their investigations and related court decision severely punishing the convicted offenders.

The fifth ISU World Cup Speed Skating event of the season will be a prelude to the ISU World Single Distances Speed Skating Championships in Inzell, Germany, next week.

Short Track fans are in for a real treat this weekend with Europe’s champions, fresh from a thrilling event in Dordrecht earlier this month, taking on the best of the rest as the 2018/19 ISU World Cup Short Track season makes its penultimate stop in Dresden, Germany from February 1-3.

With nine gold, six silver and nine bronze medals in the junior and neo-senior competitions combined, Russia dominated the second leg of the ISU Junior World Cup in Helsinki. The ice cold Oulunkylän liikuntapuisto outdoor rink also witnessed a new talent with a familiar name on the podium. Victoria Stirnemann (GER), daughter of three-time Olympic Champion and eight-time World Allround Champion Gunda Gunda Niemann-Stirnemann, won her career first Junior World Cup medals.

Crashes, several Junior World Records and a thrilling glimpse into the future of the sport – the ISU World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championships, held this weekend at the Maurice-Richard Arena in Montreal, Canada, had a bit of everything.

 France’s Gabriella Papadakis/Guillaume Cizeron danced to their fifth consecutive title with 11 points to spare as the Ice Dance event concluded at the ISU European Figure Skating Championships in Minsk (BLR) on Saturday. Alexandra Stepanova/Ivan Bukin of Russia danced to the silver medal while Italians Charlene Guignard/ Marco Fabbri claimed the bronze, their first medal at the ISU European Figure Skating Championships.

Spain’s Javier Fernandez celebrated a golden farewell in his last competition, taking his seventh consecutive European title as the ISU European Figure Skating Championships 2019 continued in Minsk (BLR) on Saturday with a dramatic Men’s Final. Russian Alexander Samarin claimed the silver medal and Matteo Rizzo of Italy surged from tenth to take the bronze, the first European medal for an Italian man in ten years.

Russian newcomer Sofia Samodurova stormed to gold in her debut as the Ladies event concluded Friday at the ISU European Figure Skating Championships in Minsk (BLR). Olympic Champion Alina Zagitova of Russia slipped to second place to claim the silver while Finland’s Viveca Lindfors rose from fourth to take the bronze.

 Vanessa James/Morgan Cipres struck gold, becoming the first European Pair Skating Champions from France since 1932 as the ISU European Figure Skating Championships continued Thursday with the Pairs Free Skating in Minsk (BLR). Defending champions Evgenia Tarasova/Vladimir Morozov of Russia settled for the silver this time while Russian newcomers Aleksandra Boikova/Dmitri Kozlovskii captured the bronze medal in their debut at the ISU European Figure Skating Championships.
