Update ISU internal meeting/travel restrictions

The Council reconfirmed the current restrictive policy that does not allow non-Event related meetings and attendance during ISU Events. For details, please refer to the above-mentioned Updated Guidelines for ISU Events during the Covid-19 Pandemic, point I.4.

For meetings, seminars, examinations or similar that take place outside of ISU Events, given the improvements in the Covid-19 pandemic situation in some countries and regions, the Council agreed that such meeting, seminars etc. of ISU internal bodies may take place in person from March 1, 2022. Decisions about such in-person meetings must be based on the applicable travel restrictions in the hosting country and the countries participants are travelling from, and take into account the vaccination status of the participants. Meetings may only take place if a majority of the participating bodies’ members, including the Chair, is able to attend. Other participants may attend online.

Season 2021/22 ISU Championships

As previously announced, several Season 2021/22 ISU Championships are currently under review due to the Covid-19 regulations and restrictions applicable in the allotted host countries, namely the ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Championships 2022, the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships 2022, and the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships 2022. Due to the new situation in Ukraine, which may have an impact on the holding of Championships and the travel of teams to attend Championships, the Council needs a few more days to assess the situation before taking a final decision. These decisions will be communicated as soon as possible, ideally during the coming week.

Season 2022/23 ISU Championships

The ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships 2023, will be held in Angers, France on March 10-11, 2023 (previously scheduled to be held in Lyon).

The Croatian Skating Federation has indicated that due to logistical reasons it is no longer able to host the Junior Grand Prix event (including Pair Skating) on September 28 - October 1, 2022 in Zagreb. The Council therefore invites ISU Members to submit applications by March 25, 2022 for the above-mentioned Event.
