Tatiana Volosozbar/Maxim Trankov of Russia claimed their third consecutive European title and led the Russian pairs to a podium sweep. Teammates Ksenia Stolbova/Fedor Klimov took silver and Vera Bazarova/Yuri Larionov earned the bronze medal.

Jing Yu (CHN) and Michel Mulder (NED) were crowned the ISU World Sprint Speed Skating champions of 2014. Yu also won the title in 2012 and Mulder in 2013.

Jorien Ter Mors (NED) was crowned ladies 2014 ISU European Short Track Speed Skating champion, while Victor An (RUS) took the title on the men’s side. The relay champions were the Netherlands (ladies) and Russia (men).
