Sleep is the core foundation of recovery and has a direct impact on the performance of Skaters. The ISU eLearning Platform presents a series of modules on Sleep and Recovery, aiming to enable a better understanding on topics such as different sleep stages, connections between sleep and performance, impact of emotions and thoughts on sleep and performance.
The total of 11 modules also covers questions such as what are the most important things to consider when Skaters are travelling together and what can be done when Skaters travel between time zones as well as how many hours of sleep are recommended for Skaters , etc. The modules are primarily designed for Speed Skaters and Coaches, but they are of value to Figure Skaters and Coaches too.
