Ice Dancers Charlène Guignard/Marco Fabbri (ITA) retained their ISU European title as competition wrapped up Saturday at the ISU European Figure Skating Championships in Kaunas (LTU). 

Pietro Sighel (ITA) got off the best possible start in his ISU European Short Track Championships 2024 campaign as he won two gold medals in two events at the Hala Olivia in Gdansk, Poland, on Saturday.

Loena Hendrickx (BEL) made history once more and won the first ISU European Figure Skating title in Single Skating for Belgium - and the first European title for her country since 1947 - as the ISU European Figure Skating Championships continued in Kaunas (LTU) Saturday. 

Adam Siao Him Fa (FRA) defended his second consecutive title in style as the Men’s event at the ISU European Championships 2024 concluded Friday in Kaunas (LTU) with the Free Skating. 

Reigning European Ice Dance Champions Charlène Guignard/Marco Fabbri (ITA) danced to the lead in the Rhythm Dance at the ISU European Figure Skating Championships in Kaunas (LTU) Friday. 

Pietro Sighel is one of the most exciting Short Track skaters Italy has ever produced. He is all about raw speed, and after a couple of seasons of promising great things on the ISU World Cup circuit, made his major breakthrough in 2022-23.

Lucrezia Beccari/Matteo Guarise (ITA) soared to gold as the Pairs event at the ISU European Figure Skating Championships concluded Thursday in Kaunas (LTU).

Hot favorite Loena Hendrickx (BEL) won the Women’s Short Program as the ISU European Figure Skating Championships continued in Kaunas (LTU) Thursday. 

The ISU European Short Track Speed Skating Championships take place at the Hala Olivia in Gdansk, Poland from 12-14 January, with a host of big names from 24 countries competing for the continent’s top honours.

Adam Siao Him Fa (FRA) took the lead as the ISU European Championships continued Wednesday in Kaunas (LTU) with the Men’s Short Program. 

ISU Junior Grand Prix Final Champions Anastasiia Metelkina/Luka Berulava (GEO) stormed to the lead as the ISU European Figure Skating Championships opened in Kaunas (LTU) Wednesday with the Pairs Short Program. A total of 167 Skaters/Couples representing 32 ISU Members have been entered for this 116th edition of the European Championships. Lithuania is hosting an ISU Figure Skating Championship for the first time.

All reigning European Champions Anastasiia Gubanova (GEO), Adam Siao Him Fa (FRA), Pair Skaters Sara Conti/Niccolo Macii (ITA) and Ice Dancers Charlène Guignard/Marco Fabbri plus two-time ISU World medallist Loena Hendrickx (BEL) are back in the medal hunt at the ISU European Figure Skating Championships in Kaunas (LTU) January 8 – 14. A total of 167 Skaters/Couples representing 32 ISU Members have been entered for this 116th edition of the European Championships: 32 Men, 33 Women, 18 Pairs and 33 Ice Dance couples. Lithuania hosts for the first time an ISU Figure Skating Championship.

Marijke Groenewoud (NED) crowned herself queen of the 2024 ISU European Speed Skating Championships when she collected her third gold medal with a solo finish after a powerful attack in the Mass Start on Sunday. Earlier on Sunday, Groenewoud had seized her second title, together with Irene Schouten and Joy Beune in the Team Pursuit, with Germany and Switzerland surprisingly taking silver and bronze. In between, Jutta Leerdam (NED) won her third straight European gold in the 1000m.

Peder Kongshaug (NOR) edged out his idol Kjeld Nuis (NED) to take his career first individual international title in the 1500m at the ISU European Speed Skating Championships in Heerenveen on Sunday. In the 500m Jenning de Boo (NED) also took his maiden title, ahead of Marten Liiv (EST) and Marek Kania (POL). Bart Swings (BEL) concluded the tournament with a powerful sprint to seize his third straight European title in the Mass Start.  

The Dutch women won five of six available medals on the second day of the ISU European Speed Skating Championships in Heerenveen. Antoinette Rijpma-de Jong, Marijke Groenewoud and Joy Beune swept the 1500m podium, while Femke Kok and Jutta Leerdam took gold and silver in the 500m. Vanessa Herzog (AUT) was the only non-Dutch medalist in Saturday’s women’s competition, with bronze in the 500m.
