The ISU Council is proud to announce the hosts for the Challenger Series events for the season 2018/2019.

The ISU Challenger Series, which was introduced during the 2014/15 has been a great success. The skaters welcome the opportunity to compete at an international senior level. Furthermore, it allows them to gain World Standing Points. It is also a chance for Officials to officiate at an international level.
Many have recognized the value of the competition and the ISU Council received numerous applications to host a Challenger Series event for the season 2018/2019, following the ISU Communication 2151.
The ISU Council has carefully analysed every application and is proud to announce that the following venues were selected to showcase all Figure Skating disciplines (Men, Ladies, Pairs and Ice Dance):

The Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy, which has been an ASU International Figure Skating Competition since 2007, is joining forces with the Series. It already welcomed skaters from countries such as USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Brazil. It is now looking forward to expanding the competition even further by becoming part of the ISU Challenger Series.

The other new addition is the Inge Solar Memorial – Alpen Trophy that will replace the Cup of Tyrol Innsbruck. The competition will be held in the Olympia Halle of Innsbruck, which already hosted the Olympics in 1964, 1976, the European Championships in 1981, the Junior Grand Prix 2011 and the Youth Olympic Games 2012.
The ISU Council wishes to thank all ISU Members for their applications. A General Announcement relating to the Challenger Series 2018/19 will be published after the forthcoming ISU Congress (June 2-8, 2018) taking into account the Rule changes adopted by the 2018 ISU Congress.
