Team Finland 2 skates to lead in Short Program

Team Finland 2 edged out team Finland 1 for a narrow lead in the Short Program. Team Canada 1 follows in third place.

The reigning World Junior Champions Team Fintastic Junior (Finland 2) picked up level threes for the required elements pivoting, traveling, intersections, moves and the No Hold Element to score 60.95 points.

Team Musketeers Junior (Finland 1) had a higher technical score thanks to two level-four elements, but one fall and lower components left the defending World Junior silver medalists in a close second at 59.08 points.

Team Les Supremes Junior (Canada 1) lost points when two skaters fell at the beginning and the No Hold Element garnered a level two. They earned 54.99 points.

Team United States 1 (Skyliners Junior) and Team Russia 2 (Crystal Ice Junior) are not far behind with 53.96 and 52.42 points respectively. Team Canada 2 (Nexxice) came sixth (50.92 points).
