Online ISU Skating Awards 2020 to be held on July 11, 2020

The International Skating Union (ISU) and Art on Ice are proud to announce that the ISU Skating Awards 2020 will be held virtually on July 11, 2020 and will be Live Streamed on the ISU Skating Awards page from 16:00 CEST.

The Figure Skating season was cut short because of the COVID-19 pandemic which led to the cancellation of the ISU Skating Awards show, due to take place on the final day of the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2020 in Montréal (CAN). However, in this tumultuous environment of uncertainty, it is more important now than ever to get together and honor the athletes, coaches and choreographers that have worked so hard. The ISU Skating Awards will be an opportunity to celebrate Figure Skating and will hopefully provide a moment of respite to the Skating community which has been affected, like so many, by the recent events.

ISU Awards How to watch smaller

The Premier ISU Skating Awards will see distinctions being handed out to Skaters, Coaches and Choreographers in seven categories:

  1. Most Valuable Skater

  2. Best Costume

  3. Most Entertaining Program

  4. Best Newcomer

  5. Best Choreographer

  6. Best Coach

  7. Lifetime Achievement Award

Following the online votes registered for the candidates by the public, media and ISU Members between December 1, 2019 and February 10, 2020, three nominees in each category will be announced shortly.

The star-studded Jury, who were announced on December 19, 2019, is determining the winner of each category, who will be revealed during the Online ISU Skating Awards. Athletes, coaches and choreographers will be at the center stage of the show and there will be a few surprises too. The innovative digital program will be on everyone’s calendar.
