Nikolaj Memola (ITA) and Pair Skaters Cayla Smith/Andy Deng (USA) became the first Skaters to seal spots in the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final (Dec. 8-11, 2022) with their win at the ISU Junior Grand Prix in Riga (LAT) (Sept. 7-10, 2022). ISU World Junior silver medallist Jia Shin (KOR) struck gold in the Women’s event while Darya Grimm/Michail Savitskiy (GER) topped the Ice Dance podium.

Hana Yoshida and Shunsuke Nakamura continued Japan’s success in Single Skating after the country had sat out the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating in the past season.

The ISU was informed by the Fédération Française des Sports de Glace (FFSG) of the cancellation of the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating event that was scheduled to take place from September 28 to October 1, 2022 in Grenoble (FRA). The Council decided to reallocate the event to Gdansk (POL) following a spontaneous application.

Further to the cancellation of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating – Cup of China event, the International Skating Union (ISU) is pleased to announce that the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating - MK John Wilson Trophy has been allotted to Sheffield (GBR) and will be hosted as planned on November 11-13, 2022.

The 27-year-old announced at a press conference today in Tokyo (JPN) that while he plans not to compete anymore, he wants to continue to perform in ice shows and to pursue his goal of landing a quadruple Axel.
