The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final brings the World’s best young Skaters together in Torino (ITA) December 5 – 8. Twenty-four Skaters / Couples representing eight countries have qualified for the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final.

As of today, the public, media and ISU Members can vote for their favorite Skaters, Coach and Choreograph on the ISU Skating Awards online voting platform. Once the votes close on February 10, 2020 three nominees in each category will be selected and officially announced on March 10, 2020. The winners will be determined by a star-studded Jury and will be revealed and presented with their Award at the ISU Skating Awards on March 22, 2020.

Gabriel Odor (AUT) and Robin Groot (NED) are the crown prince and princess of international Speed Skating. The Austrian and the Dutch Junior both won two individual gold medals and one bronze at the second leg of the ISU Junior World Cup Speed Skating in Enschede, the Netherlands. Canada dominated the Neo-Senior competition with eight gold medals and a total of 12. American Speed Skating legend Shani Davis was in Enschede coaching the Chinese skaters, who took 3 golds, 4 silvers and 5 bronzes in the Neo-Senior category.

Japan took gold and silver in the men's 500m with Tatsuya Shinhama and Yuma Murakami only 0.002 seconds apart at the top of the ranking at the ISU World Cup Speed Skating in Tomaszów Mazowiecki on Sunday. Canada's Laurent Dubreuil (CAN) came third to win his first individual World Cup medal in two years, and the Netherlands won the men's Team Pursuit, confidently beating silver medalists Japan.

The tension between Mass Start aces Irene Schouten (NED) and Ivanie Blondin (CAN) has eased over the years, but on the ice they're still fierce rivals. After the Canadian beat her Dutch nemesis in the final sprint last week in Minsk, the order was reversed in the second leg of the ISU World Cup Speed Skating in Tomaszów Mazowiecki on Sunday. It was a long day for Joey Mantia (USA) in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Poland, on Saturday, but the hard work finally paid off when he crossed the line first to win the men's Mass Start. In the 1500m the American had finished a lowly 16th, with Thomas Krol (NED) taking gold in a track record just 0.19 seconds ahead of team-mate and last week's winner Kjeld Nuis (NED).
