ISU World bronze medalist Ilia Malinin (USA) edged ISU European Champion Adam Siao Him Fa (FRA) as the ISU Grand Prix de France in Angers continued Friday with the Men’s Short Program. The Grand Prix de France is the third of six events in the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series with the best Figure Skaters of the world competing for points towards the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final 2023/24 in Beijing (CHN) on December 7-10. 

Reigning ISU World silver medalists Charlene Guignard/Marco Fabbri ruled in the Rhythm Dance at the Grand Prix de France in Angers (FRA) Friday. The Grand Prix de France is the third of six events in the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series. The world’s top skaters competed in the series hoping to qualify for the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final 2023/24 in Beijing (CHN) on December 7-10. 

Isabeau Levito (USA) took the lead with a stunning “snake dance” as theGrand Prix de France opened in Angers (FRA) Friday, with the Women’s Short Program. The Grand Prix de France is the third of six events in the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series where the best Figure Skaters of the world compete and collect points towards the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final 2023/24 in Beijing (CHN) on December 7-10.

After consecutive weekends of ISU World Cup racing in Montreal, the Short Track roadshow moves to nearby Laval for the ISU Four Continents Championships on 4-5 November.

During the ISU World Cup Short Track in Montreal on Sunday 29 October 2023 the Final A race of the Women’s 3000 meters Relay witnessed a dramatic turn of events. Skaters from all four competing teams experienced falls in the race's final stages, which extends over 27 laps (each lap is normally concluded in about 9 seconds).

Republic of Korea continued their tremendous start to the men’s ISU Short Track World Cup season on Sunday, with Kim Gun Woo (KOR) winning a chaotic 1500m final to put himself at the top of the overall points standing. Promising young Dutch skater Jens van ‘t Wout (NED), meanwhile, put a frustrating string of races at the Maurice-Richard Arena, Montreal, behind him to bag an impressive gold in the 1000m.

A superb fortnight of ISU Short Track World Cup racing came to a conclusion at the Maurice-Richard Arena in Montreal on Sunday with new champions emerging and a fierce battle developing for ownership of the coveted ISU Crystal Globe.

Japan’s Sota Yamamoto skated to his first ISU Grand Prix gold medal Saturday, in what was a turbulent Men’s final at Skate Canada International. 

Canada’s Deanna Stellato-Dudek/Maxime Deschamps smashed their personal best scores en route to a runaway win in the Pairs event at Skate Canada International on Saturday, finishing more than 25 points ahead of their closest rival.

Canada had a slow start to the Short Track season last weekend at the Maurice-Richard Arena in Montreal – but Saturday at the second ISU Short Track World Cup event at the same venue was all about the home nation.

A wild day of racing at the Maurice-Richard Arena in Montreal saw Kim Gilli (KOR) extend her lead in the ISU Short Track World Cup points table after an epic 1500m (1) race. Local fans, meanwhile, went crazy for the ever-improving Rikki Doak (CAN), who grabbed her first ever individual gold medal at this level.

Reigning ISU World bronze medalists Piper Gilles/Paul Poirier of Canada skated to their fourth consecutive Skate Canada Ice Dance title on Saturday, with almost 10 points to spare. 

Two-time ISU World Champion Kaori Sakamoto of Japan started her ISU Grand Prix season in style, celebrating a clear victory at Skate Canada International on Saturday.

To the delight of the home crowd, Canada’s Deanna Stellato-Dudek/Maxime Deschamps earned the lead in the Pairs Short Program at Skate Canada International in Vancouver on Friday.
