Reigning World Champions Madison Chock/Evan Bates (USA) danced to a confident lead as the ISU Grand Prix Skate America continued with the Rhythm Dance in Allen, Texas (USA) Saturday. Their rocky Rhythm Dance saw them finish ahead of Marjorie Lajoie/Zachary Lagha of Canada and France’s Evgeniia Lopareva/Geoffrey Brissaud.  

To the delight of the home crowd, Ilia Malinin (USA) jumped to the lead at his home ISU Grand Prix Skate America in Allen, Texas (USA) on Friday. Kevin Aymoz of France stands in second place while Japan’s Shun Sato came third. Skate America is the first of six events in the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series where international top Figure Skaters collect points towards the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final 2023/24 in Beijing (CHN) on December 7-10.

Reigning European bronze medalists Annika Hocke/Robert Kunkel (GER) skated to the lead in the Pairs Short Program as the ISU Grand Prix Skate America opened Friday in Allen, TX (USA). Skate America is the first of six events of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series where international top Figure Skaters will collect points towards the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final 2023/24 in Beijing (CHN) on December 7-10.

The International Skating Union (ISU) is thrilled to introduce Michaela Scalisi, the former Swiss national competitor and renowned Wild Ice Skater, who is affectionately known as 'Michaela Carrot' among her followers. She has been designated as global WISD Icon for the highly anticipated World Ice Skating Day (WISD) set to take place on December 3, 2023.

The 2023/24 season of the ISU World Cup Short Track Speed Skating Series will commence at the Maurice-Richard Arena in Montreal, Canada, from 20-22 October, 2023. It is the first of an exciting double header in the Canadian city – the athletes return to the same venue the following weekend for another ISU World Cup meet. It will also be a triple-header in the region for many skaters: the ISU Four Continents Short Track Speed Skating Championships will take place in nearby Laval from 03-05 November, 2023.

On October 17, 2023, during the 141st  International Olympic Committee (IOC) Session that was held in Mumbai, India, the ISU President, Jae Youl Kim, was elected as IOC Member.

Leading international Figure Skaters including all four reigning World Champions – Shoma Uno (JPN), Kaori Sakamoto (JPN), Riku Miura/Ryuichi Kihara (JPN), and Madison Chock/Evan Bates (USA) – as well as Olympic and World medalists, European Champions and medalists will compete for placements and points to qualify for the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final 2023/24 in Beijing (CHN), from December 7-10.

The second edition of the World Ice Skating Day (WISD) is about to take place on December 3, 2023, and promises to present a series of worldwide events celebrating ice skating sports in the most fun, creative and inclusive ways. This year, the International Skating Union (ISU) is glad to reconduct the “Best WISD Contest”, which will reward the organizers having demonstrated the most ingenuity in the activities and promotional actions undertaken. In 2022, the “Best WISD Awards” were bestowed upon  Indonesia (Federasi Ice Skating Indonesia), Mexico (Nuevo Léon Winter Sports Association) and the Ice Academy of Montreal (Canada) for their impressive initiatives. In particular, the Montreal Ice Academy excelled in the “Best #WISDance” category and was given the honor to create the new official choreography for the 2023 WISD edition.

The fourth edition of the ISU Skating Awards is set to dazzle the world on February 11, 2024 as the International Skating Union (ISU) partners with the world-renowned Art on Ice show, to bring you this exciting event.

The gold medalists at the last JGP event in Yerevan (ARM), Mao Shimada (JPN), Daniel Martynov (USA) and Elizabeth Tkachenko/Alexei Kiliakov (ISR) took the last available tickets for the ISU Junior Grand Prix Final, that will take place on December 7-10, 2023 in Beijing (CHN).
