Initially launched in November 2019, the global digital campaign film was narrated by two-time World and seven-time European Figure Skating Champion Javier Fernández. Today, American Figure Skater Ashley Wagner, 2016 ISU World Figure Skating silver medalist and 2014 Olympic bronze Team medalist, joins the cause. She conveys a heartfelt message to encourage people to stay strong, support each other in creative and mindful ways and together, we will get #UpAgain, after facing one of the biggest challenges humankind has encountered in decades.

Starting tomorrow, the ISU will be streaming the 2019 ISU World Sprint Speed Skating Championships, followed by the ISU World Allround Speed Skating Championships that will begin on Sunday, on its Skating ISU YouTube Channel. Don't miss it!

Short Track Speed Skating fans who want to determine the health of their sport – as well as earmark potential future Champions – always watch the ISU World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championships with interest.

Whereas Graeme Fish was the revelation in the Men's competition at the Salt Lake City ISU World Speed Skating Championships, Jutta Leerdam had a breakthrough season in the Ladies' field.

The ISU council is proud to annouce the hosts for the Figure Skating Challenger Series events season 2020/21.

In support of those most affected by COVID-19, Olympic Ice Dancer Kaitlyn Weaver is producing and hosting a one-off talk show called Open Ice. Jordan Cowan, of On Ice Perspectives, is co-producing the project. It will feature some of the World’s best Skaters in the intimate setting of their own homes with the aim to raise funds for the United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund the WHO. The International Skating Union (ISU) is supporting the project by Live Streaming it on the Skating ISU YouTube Channel on April 25, 2020, at 14:00 EST (20:00 CET, April 26 at 03:00 JST).

From Champions stamping their authority on the ice to new names bursting into prominence, the 2019/20 Short Track Speed Skating season was chock-full of gasp-inducing performances. But for many, it was the return to competition of Dutchman Sjinkie Knegt that really tugged at the heartstrings.

Mindful of the escalating negative COVID-19 developments, the resulting world-wide human tragedy and the measures taken by the public authorities as well as logistical challenges the ISU Council during its on-line meeting held on April 16, 2020 concluded that a postponement of the pending 2020 ISU Championships is not possible.

In November 2019, the International Skating Union (ISU) launched #UpAgain, an emotional and inspiring campaign based on one simple principle: we must overcome life’s challenges to achieve our full potential. Today, the campaign takes a greater meaning as we currently face one of the biggest challenges humankind has encountered in decades. Through this campaign, the ISU aims to encourage people to stay strong, to support each other in creative and mindful ways and together we will get #UpAgain.
