If you are looking for a thrilling competition, you just need to follow the ISU Junior Grand Prix series. The battle for the spots in the ISU Junior Grand Prix Final was in full swing at the fourth event of the  ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series 2024/25 in Ankara (TUR) September 19-21. Pair Skaters Jazmine Desrochers/Kieran Thrasher (CAN) and Ice Dancers Darya Grimm/Michail Savitskiy (GER) struck gold and should be headed to the Final next. Single Skating Champions Yuseong Kim (KOR) and Jacob Sanchez (USA) have now an excellent shot at making the Junior Final.

The International Skating Union (ISU) is thrilled to unveil today a brand-new global series of elite Short Track events: the ISU Short Track World Tour! Kicking off on October 25th and spanning three continents, this groundbreaking Tour of six events is set to showcase the explosive energy, fierce competition and electrifying atmosphere that only Short Track can deliver.

The Juniors never cease to amaze! At the third event of the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series 2024/25 in Bangkok (THA) September 12-14 the young stars lit up the ice with their spectacular performances. On top of that, Yihan Wang (CHN) and Yanhao Li (NZL) made history, becoming the first Chinese female single skater and the first New Zealand skater respectively to win an ISU Junior Grand Prix event. Ice Dance Champions Noemi Tali/Noah Lafornara (ITA) are the first skaters this season to qualify for the Junior Final.

The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series 2024/25 continued with an exciting second event in Ostrava (CZE) September 4-7. There were many great performances and even a backflip! Korea’s ISU World Junior Champion Minkyu Seo skated to the Junior Men’s crown while newcomers Kaoruko Wada (JPN) and Xuanqi Zhang/Wenqiang Feng (CHN) were golden in the Junior Women’s and Pairs. Ice Dancers Celina Fradji/Jean-Hans Fournaux (FRA) danced to their first gold in their fifth year on the circuit.

The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series 2024/25 kicked off with a bang at the first event in Riga (LAT) August 28-31 as the young Skaters lit up the ice in the Volvo Sports Centre with their spectacular performances. Japan’s ice princess Mao Shimada confidently claimed her fifth ISU Junior Grand Prix gold medal while new stars rose with first-time winners Sena Takahashi (JPN), Pair Skaters Jiaxuan Zhang/Yihan Huang (CHN) and Ice Dancers Noemi Tali/Noah Lafornara (ITA).

The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris are in full swing, and skaters worldwide are embracing the Olympic spirit. As they share their passion for the sport, they're closely following the thrilling action and cheering on their fellow athletes.

It is with much delight that the International Skating Union (ISU), in collaboration with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), was today able to finally award the medals of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Figure Skating Team Event during a special ceremony held in front of thousands of passionate sports fans at the Champions Park in Paris. Team USA and Team Japan received their well-deserved gold and silver medals respectively in the presence of ISU President Jae Youl Kim. The Russian Olympic Committee (ROC), which obtained the bronze medal, was not represented at the ceremony due to the ongoing suspension of the ROC. 

The International Skating Union (ISU) has taken note of the CAS decision released today to dismiss the appeal filed by the Canadian Figure Skaters, Skate Canada and the Canadian Olympic Committee (read CAS decision here), which confirms the following re-ranking of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games Figure Skating Team Event results, as announced by the ISU on January 30th:
