Jordan Stolz (USA) came, saw and conquered in Inzell, Germany, last weekend. The 18-year-old American had skipped the first two ISU Junior World Cups, because he was busy winning medals at senior level, but won three individual gold medals and a silver at the third and final leg. Stolz thus underlined his candidacy for the World Junior title this week (February 10-12, 2023) on the same track. The Netherlands were the most successful nation in the Junior World Cup Series this season, winning five World Cup rankings. Norway dominated the neo-senior category, winning four World Cup rankings.

ISU World medallists Madison Chock/Evan Bates (USA), Riku Miura/Ryuichi Kihara (JPN) and Boyang Jin (CHN) lead the line-up at the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships in Colorado Springs (USA) February 7 - 12, 2023. A total of 91 Skaters/Couples representing 13 ISU Members have been entered for this 23rd edition of the Four Continents Championships: 22 Men, 24 Women, 10 Pairs and 13 Ice Dance couples.

Nathan Chen (USA/Most Valuable Skater), Gabriella Papadakis/Guillaume Cizeron (FRA/Most Entertaining Program), Isabeau Levito (USA/Best Newcomer), Madison Chock/Evan Bates (USA/Best Costume) as well as Ilia Malinin (USA/Special Achievement) are the winning skaters of the ISU Skating Awards 2023. The Best Coach Award went to Patrice Lauzon (CAN) while Shae-Lynn Bourne (CAN) received the award for the best choreographer. Two-time Olympic Champion and figure skating icon Katarina Witt (GER) was selected for the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Suzanne Schulting (NED) and Choi Min Jeong (KOR) – the two dominant Women’s Short Track racers of the last decade – have had wildly contrasting seasons.

Park Ji Won (KOR) is not low on confidence. The talented Korean has already cleared a space in his house, ready to put the first ever Men’s Short Track Crystal Globe in pride of place.

Jordan Stolz (USA) already won three senior World Cup races this season, but the American will take on his last chance to win junior titles at the ISU Junior World Cup Speed Skating final this weekend, and the ISU World Junior Speed Skating Championships next week. Both events are held at the Max Aicher Arena in Inzell (Germany) and are available to watch on the Ice Skating Channel on Recast.

Today the International Skating Union (ISU) reveals the new Crystal Globe trophies that will be awarded this season for the first time to the best overall male and female Short Track Speed Skating Skaters.

The rise and rise of Florence Brunelle (CAN) and Kim Gilli (KOR) continued apace in Dresden, Germany this weekend at the ISU World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championships.

Charlene Guignard/Marco Fabbri claimed gold to end a nine-year gold medal drought for Italian Ice Dance, at the ISU European Figure Skating Championships in Espoo (FIN) Saturday, in an exhilarating and high-level competition. 

Anastasiia Gubanova struck gold at the ISU European Figure Skating Championships in Espoo (FIN) Saturday, making history for Georgia as the first Figure Skater to win a senior-level ISU Championship. 

Adam Siao Him Fa (FRA) brought the European Men’s title back to France after 12 years, in what was an exciting Men’s Final at the ISU European Figure Skating Championships Friday in Espoo (FIN). 

Italy’s two-time European bronze medalists Charlene Guignard/Marco Fabbri found the right rhythm to take a slim lead in the Rhythm Dance. ISU Grand Prix Finalists  Lilah Fear/Lewis Gibson of Great Britain are less than 1.5 points behind in second place. To the delight of the home crowd, Finnish dancers Juulia Turkkila/Matthias Versluis came third in the segment. 

Anastasiia Gubanova (GEO) skated away with the lead in the Women’s Short Program as the ISU European Figure Skating Championships continued in Espoo (FIN) Thursday.
