In accordance with Article 21 of the 2018 ISU Constitution, this Communication sets out the composition, purpose and election procedures of the ISU Athletes Commission. The elections will take place at selected ISU Championships during the 2018/19 season.

The ISU Speed Skating Technical Committee, through the support of the ISU Development Program, will conduct a live stream on the latest changes to the Special Regulations and Technical Rules for the season 2018/19.

As part of the ISU Development Program Traveling ISU Coach initiative which is being piloted this year, an expert Ice Dance coach travelled to Ankara, Turkey on September 5-10 for a visit.

The ISU Releases its new Constitution and General Regulations and the Special Regulations and Technical Rules 2018 for each Discipline.

Celje, Slovenia was the site of an ISU Development Program supported Single Figure Skating Training Camp for Juniors and Novices from July 23 – August 4, 2018.

The Development Commission invites ISU Members to put forward for consideration the names of Coaches of Speed Skating, Short Track Speed Skating or both, who fulfil the requirements of the ISU.

The ISU Development Commission was pleased to support a Figure Skating project organized in Gramado, Brazil on July 19-28, 2018. The project gathered over 200 people from across Latin America, in particular Argentina and Brazil, to participate in Seminars to train and enthuse Coaches, Skaters and Judges in the region.

ISU Athletes Commission pays tribute to Denis Ten

The International Olympic Committee Executive Board met on July 18, 2018, and confirmed that the ISU request to include Short Track Speed Skating Mixed Gender Relay event has been approved.

The ISU Figure Skating Technical Committees, through the support of the ISU Development Program, will conduct 3 webinars on the new +5 to -5 scales for Grades of Execution (GOEs) on July 7, 2018.

The ISU announces that the Slovene Skating Union will run a Figure Skating Development Training seminar from July 23 till August 4, 2018, 2018 in Celje, Slovenia.

The ISU Council decided to provisionally allot four ISU Championships for the season 2020/21. The allotment of all other Championships are kept pending until the next scheduled ISU Council meeting in October 2018 and further information regarding the decisions of the Council in Sevilla, will be published at a later date.

The International Skating Union’s 57th Ordinary Congress concluded on June 8, 2018 in Sevilla (ESP) with the elections of the ISU Office Holders. Here are the results of the elections.
