Well Balanced Program Content effective for the 2018/19 season
‘Play True Day’ is dedicated to clean sport and is intended to raise awareness among athletes, the sporting public and others about the global fight against doping. On this day, WADA will be asking athletes why they ‘Play True’?
April 6 is the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace and the ISU is proud to be a part of the celebration. The ISU President Mr.Jan Dijkema and Ms. Katarina Henriksson, President of Swedish Figure Skating, show their commitment to Sport for Development and Peace by using a #WhiteCard as a strong symbol.
Further to ISU Communication No. 2129 and after having received ISU Members’ applications, the ISU recognized the following Seminar for Referees and Judges.
The ISU has decided to hold a course for ISU Referees and ISU Competitors Stewards in Short Track Speed Skating, which will be organized by the ISU Short Track Speed Skating Technical Committee and the Deutsche Eisschnelllauf-Gemeinschaft (as hosting ISU Member) in Frankfurt, Germany on August 23-26, 2018.
On March 22, 2018 the International Skating Union signed a proclamation of support and affinity for Special Olympics and all its Skaters whose extraordinary courage represents the true spirit of sportsmanship.
On March 23 at 18:00 CET the Annual Ice Dance meeting will be live streamed.
Requirements defined in the Technical Rules as valid for one season only are: Pattern Dances for International Competitions, Music requirements for Pattern Dances for International Competitions, Rhythms or themes, Required Elements (including Key Points and Key Point Features for Pattern Dance Elements) and guidelines for Short Dance, Required Elements for Free Dance.
The ISU Development Commission and the ISU Medical Commission are pleased to introduce a series of seminars that will focus on different aspects of the theme of "The Healthy Skater". The first seminar of the series is about injury prevention and will be presented on the occasion of the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2018 in Milan.
The Finnish Figure Skating Association (FFSA) in co-operation with the International Skating Union (ISU) organize a four-year development project for single and ice dance coaches and skaters. Project includes yearly seminars held at the Finnish Sport Institute (Vierumäki), Finland.
