At its last meeting on October 16, 2020 the Council approved the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Calendar for the season 2021/22.
The ISU was informed of the cancellation of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating – Internationaux de France, that was scheduled to take place from November 13-15, 2020 in Grenoble (FRA).

Famous Speed Skating coach Ab Krook has died due to a stroke at the age of 76 on Tuesday 13 October. As the national coach of the Dutch Men and Ladies and the West-German team in the 1980s and 1990s, Krook was a household name in International Speed Skating.
The ISU was informed of the cancellation of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating – Skate Canada International, that was scheduled to take place from October 30-31, 2020 in Ottawa (CAN).
Maria Kazakova/Georgy Reviya (GEO) started their international junior career as a team not like most skaters at the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating, but at the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships 2018 in Sofia (BUL). They were still a very new team, but drew attention right away.

The Covid-19 restrictions somehow were a blessing in disguise for Sverre Lunde Pedersen (NOR). The silver medallist from last year’s ISU World Allround Speed Skating Championships had more time with his family than usual over the summer, which he mostly spent with his wife and son Svein who was born in May. “It’s great to watch him grow,” Pedersen says. The Norwegian used the relatively quiet summer for a reset of his body after an exhausting and injury hampered season. He’s looking forward to racing this winter, even if it has to be in a bubble.

The stars that impress us at the World and Olympic stage today all have started out at the junior level and began their journey with the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating series. So did Rika Kihira (JPN), a two-time ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Champion and the 2018 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final Champion.
A number of the World's best Figure Skaters including two-time World Champion Nathan Chen (USA) and four-time Ice Dance World Champions Gabriella Papadakis/Guillaume Cizeron (FRA), two-time World Pairs Champions Wenjing Sui/Cong Han (CHN) are set to compete in the Grand Prix of Figure Skating events of the 2020/21 season.
