We hope that you are all ready for a great show! The 2019 ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships stream is about to begin. You are in for a highly technical form of Figure Skating filled with speed, precisions, unison, intricate formations, synchro elements, difficult footwork, spectacular lifts and exciting transitions. Initially launched in November 2019, the global digital campaign film was narrated by two-time World and seven-time European Figure Skating Champion Javier Fernández. Today, American Figure Skater Ashley Wagner, 2016 ISU World Figure Skating silver medalist and 2014 Olympic bronze Team medalist, joins the cause. She conveys a heartfelt message to encourage people to stay strong, support each other in creative and mindful ways and together, we will get #UpAgain, after facing one of the biggest challenges humankind has encountered in decades.

Join an online class hosted by top coaches, choreographers and other Figure Skating professionals from April 19 – 24, 2020.

Mindful of the escalating negative COVID-19 developments, the resulting world-wide human tragedy and the measures taken by the public authorities as well as logistical challenges the ISU Council during its on-line meeting held on April 16, 2020 concluded that a postponement of the pending 2020 ISU Championships is not possible.

In November 2019, the International Skating Union (ISU) launched #UpAgain, an emotional and inspiring campaign based on one simple principle: we must overcome life’s challenges to achieve our full potential. Today, the campaign takes a greater meaning as we currently face one of the biggest challenges humankind has encountered in decades. Through this campaign, the ISU aims to encourage people to stay strong, to support each other in creative and mindful ways and together we will get #UpAgain.

Today, April 6, 2020, the International Skating Union (ISU) proudly celebrates the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace for the third consecutive year. Sport, peace and unity is more important than ever in these times of crisis. This year, the ISU Athletes Commission, who represents the views of the athletes and makes their voices heard within the ISU, conveys the message of commitment to Sport for Development and Peace.

Team Fintastic Junior (FIN) soared to gold as the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships 2020 concluded in Nottingham (GBR) Saturday with the Free Skating.

Three-time and defending World Junior Champions Team Junost Junior of Russia edged national rivals and reigning World Junior silver medalist Team Crystal Ice Junior by just 0.16 points as the ISU World Junior Synchronized Championships opened Friday in Nottingham (GBR). Team Fintastic Junior finished third, giving Finland hope to return on to the World Junior podium.

As a result of the recent United States’ travel ban of 26 European countries and the state of New York’s restrictions on gatherings over concerns of the spread of the COVID-19 virus, U.S. Figure Skating and the International Skating Union (ISU) are unable to organize the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships® 2020. The event was scheduled to take place April 3-4, 2020, in Lake Placid, New York, United States.

With the uncertainty surrounding the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Skate Canada and the International Skating Union (ISU), were informed today by the Government of Quebec that they have decided to cancel the ISU World Figure Skating Championships® 2020. The event was scheduled to take place from March 16-22, 2020 in Montreal at Centre Bell.

At the time of publishing this statement, the ISU has not been informed of any specific decision from the Quebec Health Ministry in regard to the ISU World Figure Skating Championships scheduled to be held in Montreal on March 16-22, 2020.

The ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships® 2020 will be held in Nottingham (GBR) at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham on March 13 and 14, 2020. A total of 21 teams representing 16 ISU Members countries have entered the sixth edition of the Championships, to compete for the title currently held by Team Junost Junior of Russia.
