Viewers will be able to watch the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships as a live stream on the Skating ISU YouTube Channel.

As per the ISU Statement of March 2, the ISU, in consultation with the competent local authorities and the organizing ISU Members, is continuing to closely monitor the coronavirus developments and their impact on the upcoming ISU Events that at this time remain scheduled as planned

On February 26, 2020 the ISU announced that the ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Championships 2020 cannot be staged as originally foreseen on March 13-15, 2020 since, in light of the situation in South Korea, the competent authorities of the city of Seoul have closed the Mokdong Ice Rink and ordered the cancellation of all planned competitions.

The ISU stands by all those who have been affected and threatened by this situation and wishes success to all those fighting to overcome the crisis, with the expectation and hope that the situation will be restored to normal as quickly as possible.

The rising stars are about to take part in the Youth Olympic Games that will take place from January 9 – 22, 2020.

As the festive season approaches and another year draws to an end, it is an opportunity to reflect on 2019 and look to the future and what 2020 will bring.

Nathan Chen made headlines last year when he announced that he would become a full-time student at Yale University. Not many Singles, Ice Dance or Pairs skaters of Chen’s calibre have gone on to pursue both academics and athletics. However, for many Junior and Senior Synchronized Skaters, this balancing act is all too familiar.

As the end of year approaches it is time to think of 2020. The ISU has produced a Wall Calendar that will help keep track of the day and the ISU schedule with the Official Calendar.

The ISU acknowledges the December 9, 2019 decision of the WADA Executive Committee unanimously endorsing a four year period of non-compliance for the Russian Anti-Doping Agency and related consequences.

International Skating Union (ISU) launches #UpAgain – a global digital campaign with an emotional and inspiring message.

The ISU is pleased to announce that all ISU Events, from the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, ISU World Cup Speed Skating, ISU World Cup Short Track Series and ISU Championships will be live streamed on the Skating ISU YouTube Channel as of season 2019/20.

Synchronized Skating teams are known for their mastery of intricate formations, intersections and spatial awareness. The sport has evolved to demand well rounded athletes who can also twizzle, lift and death spiral—all skills that are much harder to sync up, and all are skills that give Synchronized Skating coaches a good reason to seek expertise outside of their team and / or club.

The ISU herewith informs its Members that based on recent contacts with the company Icederby Europe, the ISU in principle has agreed that Icederby conducts a Test Run for 1 Lap Time Trials and Mass Start Skating Races on the 220 meters track at the Thialf arena in Heerenveen on September 7, 2019.
