As the end of year approaches it is time to think of 2020. The ISU has produced a Wall Calendar that will help keep track of the day and the ISU schedule with the Official Calendar.
The ISU acknowledges the December 9, 2019 decision of the WADA Executive Committee unanimously endorsing a four year period of non-compliance for the Russian Anti-Doping Agency and related consequences.

In accordance with the ISU Special Regulations for Synchronized Skating 2018, to be eligible for promotion to the qualification as “ISU Judge” for Synchronized Skating, the candidates must have passed the ISU Synchronized Skating Judges Examination. The Synchronized Skating Judges Examination will be held on the occasion of the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships 2020.
Further the completion of the second ISU Junior World Cup Speed Skating Competition held in Enschede, NED, the allocation of quotas to ISU Members/NOCs for the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games is known.
Sleep is the core foundation of recovery and has a direct impact on the performance of Skaters. The ISU eLearning Platform presents a series of modules on Sleep and Recovery, aiming to enable a better understanding on these topics.
By November 15, 2019 all NOCs/ISU Members confirmed their acceptance or refusal for the provisionally allocated quota places for the Short Track Speed Skating competitions at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne, SUI. Following this procedure the ISU releases the final allocation of quota places.

The ISU updated ISU Communication No. 2275 "ISU World Cup Short Track Speed Skating 2019/20" following the completion of the Event in Montreal in accordance with Rule 286, paragraph 3. The changes are underlined and concern paragraphs 2, 3, 4 and 11.
In accordance with the ISU Synchronized Skating Special Regulations 2018, Rule 907, paragraph 1, ISU Members may send to the ISU Secretariat, with a copy to the Chair of the Synchronized Skating Technical Committee, applications to host ISU Seminars for Synchronized Skating Referees and Judges in 2020 fulfilling the characteristics described in this ISU Communication. The deadline for these applications is established as January 1, 2020, application form is attached to this Communication.

This summer a first Figure Skating camp was organized by the ISU in collaboration with MozerTeam. The camp was held in Italy in Baselga di Piné, Italy, from July 25 to August 4. The training camp was attended by 8 couples from 6 countries, as well as 6 coaches from different countries. Every day for 10 days, the athletes trained for 2-3 hours on the ice and three hours off-ice. Continuing the cooperation between ISU and MozerTeam, it is planned to hold two more camps this season.
The ISU would like to remind ISU Members and their Referees that the Referees Reappointment Learning Exercises for Figure Skating International and ISU Referees continue to be available on the ISU eLearning Platform ( https://elearning.isu.org/moodle/index.php? ).
